Vision of art
1. Choose a work that represents you, describe it in relation to its format and materiality, its relation with time and space, its style and theme; detail its production process.
The work that I choose is called “maenern Alles was spass macht”, 2001,Berlin.
I defined it as a floor system, sandpaper on wood.
It reproduces the sea–coast relation ship. It is an installation that evokes a scene.
The title of the work was drilled on it, referring to the aesthetics of the signs in Las Vegas.
2. In general terms, how would you suggest to approach your work?
Narrative and directly, as that that is unexpected.
To the point where reality and fiction are displayed on a physical materia.
3. In reference to your work and your position in the national and international art fields, what tradition do you recognize yourself in? Who are your contemporary referents? What artists of previous generations are of interest to you?
Duchamp, the temperature of the material of Joseph Beuys, the electric Rebecca Horn. Berni, Grippo, and Grete Stern.
I am within a tradition that respects the materiality of objects, and that does not try to simulate “a reading”
Influenced by punk culture of the eighties.
Belief = Life.
4. Choose works or exhibitions from the last ten or fifteen years which in your opinion were very significant and explain why
An act of intensity, Museum of Modern Art. The diseased, Correa at the Fine Arts Musem, Grippo at Malba.
