Born in Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina, in 1975. Studies Cinema at the Universidad del Cine, in Buenos Aires, using a format that was not then encouraged by the University: video. He then goes to Amsterdam, where he does an artist residency at the Rijksakademie Van Beldeende Kunsten, between 2000 and 2001; and then another one at Le Fresnoy, Roubaix, France, and the Couvent des Recollets, in Paris. Today, he lives and works in Amsterdam and Argentina.
Among other individual and collective exhibitions: Tate Modern, London, Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam; Carlier | gebauer, Berlin; Art in General, NY; De Appel, Amsterdam; Ludwin Museum, Budapest, Sao Paulo Art Biennial, Fundación Mirò, Barcelona, Sydney Art Biennial; Castello di Rivoli, Italy, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Lisbon, Centre Pompidou, Paris.
His work is exhibited in private and institutional collections, among which the following can be highlighted: Centre Pompidou, France; Tate Modern, London; Jumex, Mexico; Fondazione Sandretto, Torino; Sammlung-Goetz, Munich; Fundaçao de Arte Moderna, Museo Berardo, Lisbon.
